St. Helens National Monument for a day of trail work & an optional weekend of camping and group rides. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWorkparty Date: Saturday\, May 31st from 9am-3pm \n\n\n\nCampout Dates: Friday\, May 30th – Sunday\, June 1st. \n\n\n\nJoin NWTA & Growlers Gulch Racing for a work party and optional campout at Coldwater Lake at the Mt. St. Helens National Monument. \n\n\n\nDue to our strong partnership with the US Forest Service we are permitted to camp overnight (primitive) from May 30th – June 1st near the shores of Coldwater Lake. This rare opportunity is only available during this event.  \n\n\n\nPlease note that the space for campers is limited. There is also no water or dump facilites at the camp site. DESCRIPTION:We will be working on a new drop line on Railyard and working on berms on Drip Torch. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJoin us for a community effort to restore our beloved mountain bike trails impacted by a recent forest thinning project aimed at improving forest health. Together\, we’ll work to repair and enhance the trails to ensure they’re safe\, sustainable\, and ready for riders again. \n\n\n\nThis restoration effort will be flexible\, as we’ll adapt our work to the unique challenges presented by the thinning project. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome—whether you’re a seasoned trail builder or new to trail work\, there’s a role for you! \n\n\n\n10am – 3pm \n\n\n\nMeet at the far end of the Hilltop Day Use Area \n\n\n\nTrail work will last approximately 5 hours\, wrapping up at 3:00. \n\n\n\nWhat To Bring: \n\n\n\nWork clothes: Long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Eye Protection & Gloves \n\n\n\nJacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\nHard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\nSnacks/Lunch \n\n\n\nBike – If you would like\, bring your bike and ride back to the area where we will be working. We’re tackling the restoration of the long-abandoned and rarely ridden Tillicum Trail. Help get the Loowit Tier ready for its first season open to the public! \n\n\n\nCome for one day or campout and do both. We need volunteers of all sorts: sawyers primarily\, but also swampers\, brushers\, and dirt worshipers. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED—we can find a valuable role for you. This is the meeting location. \n\n\n\nThe area is roughly 1.5 miles northwest of the park’s main entrance on SW Scoggins Valley Road.
