SUMMARY:DIG DAY — Sandy Ridge: Little Monkey/TNT Drop and Final Jump Rework - 10/24
DESCRIPTION:The last jump at the bottom of Little Monkey and TNT have been closed all summer. Now that there is moisture in the soil it can be reworked \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJoin us for a Trail Maintenance day at Sandy Ridge. Trail work will last approximately 6 hours\, wrapping up at 3:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nThis will be a major rework of this section that will take more than one work party. Focus for this work party will be moving and initial shaping for the rework.  \n\n\n\nSchedule: \n\n\n\n9:00 AM Safety Meeting in Parking Lot \n\n\n\n9:15 AM Drive up to tool storage area \n\n\n\n9:30 AM Head out to work areas \n\n\n\n2:00 – 2:30 PM Finish up work and head back to tool storage area \n\n\n\n2:30 – 3:00 PM Clean tools and have after trail work refreshments \n\n\n\nWhat To Bring: \n\n\n\nYour bike (optional) \n\n\n\nWork clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, long pants (no shorts)\, boots\, gloves\, eye protection \n\n\n\nJacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\nHard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\nSnacks \n\n\n\nLunch \n\n\n\nFavorite trail tool\, McLeod or Rouge Hoe (We have tools\, but please feel free to bring your own) \n\n\n\nOptional: Folding Handsaw \n\n\n\nSafety meeting promptly starts at 9:00 a.m. Please arrive 15-20 mins early to ensure that you are adequately checked in. DESCRIPTION:Join NWTA and Metropolis Cycles for the first dig on the new Switchblade! \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThis is the first dig day of the season! Come out and help us kick off the rebuild of Swtichblade by clearing debris from the flag line. We need a big group to make this happen! No trail building skills needed\, just the desire to be part of reviving this legendary trail post-harvesting!Safety meeting starts at 9 a.m. at the gazebo in the main parking lot.Note: Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to ensure that you are ready to roll. We work in most weather\, so come prepared for the elements.What to bring: \n\n\n\n\nWork clothes: Long sleeve shirt\, pants\, boots\, eye protection\, jacket\, and (very important for this particular dig) gloves\n\n\n\nHard hat or bike helmet (mandatory)\n\n\n\nWater\n\n\n\nSnacks\n\n\n\nOptional: Your bike\, favorite trail tool; McLeods\, pitchforks\, hard rakes .We have tools\, but please feel free to bring your own. Note we will not be doing any dirt work.\n\n\n\n\nOther important things: \n\n\n\n\nWe will be doing a combo of carpooling and riding to to the top of the trail. Bring your bike if you’re willing to do a little climb.\n\n\n\nMetropolis will be feeding everyone after the dig. Plan to hang out\, eat\, and socialize until 1:30 or 2.
