DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of trail maintenance at Hagg Lake. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nTrail Hagg Lake TrailTime 9:00 AM meeting; 9:30 – 12:30 working; 1:00 PM post-work meeting \n\n\n\nMeeting Location \n\n\n\nScoggins Valley Park \n\n\n\n50250 SW Scoggins Valley Road \n\n\n\nGaston\, OR 97119 \n\n\n\nEagle Point Recreation Area Overflow Parking Lot (look for signs; 1 mile northwest of the park’s main entrance on SW Scoggins Valley Road) \n\n\n\nSummary of work goals \n\n\n\n\nStabilize parts of the existing trail tread\n\n\n\nNarrow the existing trail in some areas; widen in others\n\n\n\nImprove drainage in areas of the existing trail most susceptible to puddling and widening\n\n\n\n\nSpecific work focus \n\n\n\n\nThe Hagg Lake Trail has numerous sections in low-lying\, wet\, flat terrain vulnerable to erosion\, mud build-up\, and deterioration. Our overarching goal for the day is to help stabilize a few of those areas by deberming them\, scraping off the top layers of duff and other organic matter\, applying aggregate (when needed)\, and helping to re-establish the outslope. DESCRIPTION:Preparing the EasyCLIMB trail for LapQuest event. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for a some trail maintenance in preparation for the LapQuest event and a season of riding!  \n\n\n\nThis in-person event is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who want to give back to the trails we love. \n\n\n\nThe objective is to cut back the vegitation before it gets out of control.  \n\n\n\nOne big spring workparty = a season of hiking\, riding\, and biking emjoyment \n\n\n\nWhether you’re a seasoned trail builder or a newbie\, everyone is welcome to lend a hand and make a difference. We’ll provide the tools and guidance\, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a willingness to work as a team.  \n\n\n\nWhat To Bring:\n\n\n\n\nWork clothes: long sleeve shirt\, and long pants (no shorts)\n\n\n\nSturdy boots\, gloves\, and eye protection\n\n\n\nWater\, snacks\, and lunch\n\n\n\n\nTools:\n\n\n\nWe will have tools for volunteers\, But we could use more grass trimers (i.e. weed whackers) and hedge trimmers. If you have one to bring\, please bring it. \n\n\n\nTime and Place\n\n\n\n\n9:30 am – 2:00 pm at EasyCLIMB trail on the eastside of Cascade Locks\n\n\n\nTrail work will last approximately 4-5 hours and finish with some social time.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProject:\n\n\n\n\nCutting back vegetation and doing basic dirt work.\n\n\n\n\nTiming:\n\n\n\nSafety meeting promptly starts at 9:30 am.
