SUMMARY: Klootchy Creek Dirt Wave Race Series - 6/3-4
DESCRIPTION:Register to Ride the Dirt Wave at Klootchy Creek! Ride the Dirt Wave race series was created to showcase mountain bike trail systems on the Oregon Coast\, with two days of riding in each location. Day one has several “fun ride” options open to many levels of riders. These rides will be led by members of the NWTA Klootchy Creek team that built and regularly maintain the trails – showcasing the favorite trails in the area. Day two is race day!  The Flow Duro Challenge Race is a fun\, fast-paced\, timed competition down a short\, flowy\, mostly downhill trail. It combines all of our favorite elements of friendly competition down sweeping trails with a small amount of climbing and a large amount of fun!  This is a great opportunity to come out and get to know the trails in a fun and supportive environment. The celebration of the Klootchy Creek trails includes food\, music & beverages on site. Food carts and local beer will be available for purchase. \n\n\n\nThis is a OBRA-sanctioned event; registration is REQUIRED through the Ride the Dirt Wave event site: https://www.thedirtwave.com/klootchy-creek/ \n\n\n\nVOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to help host Ride the Dirt Wave at Klootchy! DESCRIPTION:Come out and help keep the Klootchy Creek trails running smooth – Registration is Required! \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nMeet up in the Klootchy parking lot at 9:45 for safety brief and planning session. \n\n\n\nWe’ll be taking on some brushing\, tread maintenance\, and checking drainage after the first big rain of the season. We will be working behind the locked gate and will leave the parking lot as a group at 10\, so if you are running late\, please call or text Nell at 703-638-4626 so we can make alternate arrangements. \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring \n\n\n\n\nWork clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Gloves\, Eye Protection & Gloves\n\n\n\nJacket (be prepared)\n\n\n\nHard hat or bike helmet (mandatory)\n\n\n\nWater\n\n\n\nSnacks \n\n\n\nLunch\n\n\n\nFace Covering as recommended by the CDC (in case we can’t maintain social proper social distancing)\n\n\n\n\nTools will be provided. \n\n\n\nWaiver: Once registered\, please sign the waiver HERE. \n\n\n\nQuestions: call or text Nell at 703-638-4626\, or email nells@nw-trail.org
