DESCRIPTION:The Trail Sustainability Institute will be hosting Trail School at Klootchy Creek specifically for Trail Sisters (women/trans/femme). \n\n\n\nREGISTER HERE \n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\nTrail Sisters! Join us for Trail School out on our coastal trails at Klootchy Creek on January 22nd. The event is for the Women/Trans/Femme community to build confidence in\, and understanding of\, trail maintenance in an encouraging environment.  \n\n\n\nTrail School covers the fundamental skills needed to maintain our trails. Trail Sisters will be learning safety techniques and tool identification/uses\, as well as hands-on training of corridor clearing\, drainage\, tread\, and benchwork. If you are interested in learning the “how” and “why” of trail maintenance\, this is the place for you!  \n\n\n\nCOVID Protocols \n\n\n\nDue to COVID-19\, masks are mandatory when you cannot maintain safe social distancing. We have also had to limit the number of participants. Please make sure to pre-register. \n\n\n\nOnce registered\, please sign the waiver HERE. \n\n\n\nWhat to wear: \n\n\n\nFace Covering as recommended by the CDC\, when 6 feet of distance is not possible. \n\n\n\n– Work clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Gloves\, Eye Protection & Gloves \n\n\n\n– Jacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\n– Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring: \n\n\n\n– Water \n\n\n\n– Snacks \n\n\n\n– Lunch. \n\n\n\nAgain with COVID restrictions\, NWTA work parties will look a bit different and we will not be providing any refreshments or food. Please come prepared. \n\n\n\nSTART time is 10am. Please have yourself and your gear ready by that time.
