DESCRIPTION:Join us and our friends at Portland Parks & Recreation as we work on improving the Doug Fir trail. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nJoin NWTA & Portland Parks as we head to Powell Butte to get the trails repaired for the winter season. \n\n\n\nWhere to Meet \n\n\n\nPowell Butte Visitors Center – 16160 SE Powell Blvd. \n\n\n\nScope of Work \n\n\n\nWe will be working on the Doug Fir trail. \n\n\n\nNo experience necessary! Youth participants must be at least age 14\, and all volunteers aged 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign our youth waiver forms. \n\n\n\nWear sturdy\, close-toed shoes\, long pants\, and long-sleeved shirts. Bring rain gear and/or sun gear\, a hat\, a filled water bottle\, and snacks. Bring gloves if you have a pair and prefer to use your own. Instruction\, tools\, and gloves are otherwise provided. \n\n\n\nYou will walk up to 5 miles from the meeting location and restrooms\, so please be ready to hike. Be sure to arrive 5-10 minutes early\, to be sure you don’t miss the group. \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring \n\n\n\nWork clothes: Long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Gloves\, Eye Protection\, and gloves \n\n\n\nJacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\nHard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\nSnacks \n\n\n\nLunch \n\n\n\nTools will be provided. \n\n\n\nWaiver – Once registered\, please sign the waiver HERE. \n\n\n\nQuestions?
