DESCRIPTION:NWTA’s Trail Sustainability Institute will be hosting Trail School at Tillamook State Forest on the Step Creek trail. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nTrail School teaches the fundamental skills needed to maintain our trails. Participants will be learning safety techniques and tool identification/uses\, as well as hands-on training of corridor clearing\, drainage\, and benchwork. \n\n\n\nNorthwest Trail Alliance’s Trail Sustainability Institute’s goal is to foster a culture of land stewardship within the mountain bike community. By training people to build sustainable trails\, and by training people to lead crews of trail builders\, we are raising the level of our own stewardship\, and increasing our capacity to build and maintain quality trails. \n\n\n\nOnce registered\, please sign the waiver HERE \n\n\n\nWhat to wear: \n\n\n\n– Work clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Gloves\, Eye Protection & Gloves \n\n\n\n– Jacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\n– Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\n– Gloves \n\n\n\n– Face mask\, as desired \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring: \n\n\n\n– Water \n\n\n\n– Snacks \n\n\n\n– Lunch \n\n\n\nSTART time is 10am. Please have yourself and your gear ready by that time. You may find it helpful to arrive 15 minutes early. \n\n\n\n* COMMITMENT* We understand life happens\, please give AT LEAST 24 HOURS notice if you are unable to attend so we can offer this opportunity to someone else on the waitlist. \n\n\n\nEvents like these are made possible by membership dollars. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an epic day of trail building and maintenance in the Tillamook State Forest. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for a thrilling day of trail building and maintenance in the Tillamook State Forest! This in-person event is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who love to get their hands dirty and contribute to the local mountain biking community. Whether you’re a seasoned trail builder or a newbie\, everyone is welcome to lend a hand and make a difference. We’ll provide the tools and guidance\, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a willingness to work as a team. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to give back to the trails we love! \n\n\n\n10 am – 3 pm at meeting location TBD based upon snow levels that weekend. \n\n\n\nTrail work will last approximately 5 hours\, wrapping up at 2:00. \n\n\n\nWhat To Bring: \n\n\n\nYour bike (optional) \n\n\n\nWork clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Gloves\, Eye Protection & Gloves \n\n\n\nJacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\nHard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\nSnacks \n\n\n\nLunch \n\n\n\nFavorite trail tool\, McLeod or Rouge Hoe (We have tools\, but please feel free to bring your own if you are more comfortable with your own). \n\n\n\nOptional: Folding Handsaw \n\n\n\nSafety meeting promptly starts at 9 am. Please arrive 15-20 early to ensure that you are adequately checked in.
