December 1, 2019 @ 12:00 am 9:00 am

*** EVENT FULL *** Thank you for your interest in our work party but we have hit maximum capacity. Don’t fret! Our last work party at Sandy Ridge will be Sunday 12/1. Sign ups for that will open soon.

For those of you who pre-registered we look forward to seeing you this Sunday at 9am!

Sunday November 17th. Sandy Ridge Trail Work. Join us & event sponsor evo-Portland for the 2nd work party of the Fall ’19 season.

Help us get the trails back in shape after all the wear & tear from summer. We’ll be repairing tread, filling holes, clearing drains, raking off fallen leaves, and whatever else needs doing to keep the trails running well for the winter riding season.

After the work party we will celebrate our accomplishments with beer from Migration Brewing , food & a swag raffle generously provided by the folks at evo-Portland.

Work Party Logistics:

Who: Newbies and non-members are welcome; tools are provided. Hardy kids who don’t mind potentially bad weather are invited as we often have a good group of them and will find some tasks for them to work on together.

When: 9:00am – 2:00pm Sunday, November 17, 2019

Where: Meet at the Sandy Ridge Trailhead Parking lot. https://goo.gl/maps/FuhqPAy87NK2

What to expect: We will meet at the parking lot at 9:00am, sign waivers, break up into smaller groups and hand out tools for the various maintenance areas identified and be heading out to start working by 9:30. Groups will carpool up to their assigned area with tools. You should expect to work rain or shine for approximately 4 hours. Weather can be variable this time of year so check the forecast and dress accordingly.

What to bring: Lunch (if sandwiches arent your jam), plenty of water, snacks, and any other clothing/protection you’d want when doing landscaping type work (digging, raking, cutting/sawing, etc). Tools are provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you’ve got a favorite.

What to wear:

  • Long Pants (no shorts, please)
  • Boots
  • Sturdy work gloves (more than one pair is a good idea)
  • A light, long sleeved shirt
  • Rain gear as appropriate for the weather
  • Eye protection is recommended (eye glasses, safety glasses, etc.)
