TRAIL MIX is presented by Northwest Trail Alliance, Trailkeepers of Oregon, Daybreak Racing, Oregon Equestrian Trails (Northwest Chapter / Hillsboro) and the Oregon Timber Trail Alliance in a volunteer partnership with the Oregon Department of Forestry.

TIMELINE: We will break up into small groups, each led by an experienced crew leader who will guide their work throughout the day on their trail section. Cleanup efforts including raking, drainage clearing and fixing minor tread issues along the Gales Creek, Storey Burn, and the Historic Hiking Loop trails.

NEW TO TRAIL WORK? NWTA’s Trail Sustainability Institute’s Trail School will be leading a small crew that will teach basic trail maintenance skills during the event. This is a great opportunity to give back while simultaneously learning a new skill. If interested please see related question on the sign-up form to join the crew, space is limited.

AFTER-PARTY! We will offer a chili dinner and adult beverages graciously provided by Hopworks Brewery at the end of the work day back at Gales Creek Campground, along with great raffle prizes to give away, donated by REI. Camping and an opportunity for a ride/run/hike the following day (Sunday, March 29th) is being planned, but will be highly dependent upon weather conditions. Expect an update regarding this option as we get closer to the work date!

We’ll send out two update emails with additional details – one at the end of February and one a week prior to the event. We hope to see you there!

REMINDER: Please complete the sign-up form prior to the work date. This is critical to our work day planning efforts.
