The Trail Sustainability Institute will be hosting Trail School at Klootchy Creek specifically for Trail Sisters (women/trans/femme).

About this event
Trail Sisters! Join us for Trail School out on our coastal trails at Klootchy Creek on January 22nd. The event is for the Women/Trans/Femme community to build confidence in, and understanding of, trail maintenance in an encouraging environment.
Trail School covers the fundamental skills needed to maintain our trails. Trail Sisters will be learning safety techniques and tool identification/uses, as well as hands-on training of corridor clearing, drainage, tread, and benchwork. If you are interested in learning the “how” and “why” of trail maintenance, this is the place for you!
COVID Protocols
Due to COVID-19, masks are mandatory when you cannot maintain safe social distancing. We have also had to limit the number of participants. Please make sure to pre-register.
Once registered, please sign the waiver HERE.
What to wear:
Face Covering as recommended by the CDC, when 6 feet of distance is not possible.
– Work clothes: Light long sleeve shirt, Long Pants (no shorts), Boots, Gloves, Eye Protection & Gloves
– Jacket (be prepared)
– Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory)
What to Bring:
– Water
– Snacks
– Lunch.
Again with COVID restrictions, NWTA work parties will look a bit different and we will not be providing any refreshments or food. Please come prepared.
START time is 10am. Please have yourself and your gear ready by that time. You may find it helpful to arrive 15 minutes early.
