Northwest Trail Alliance Trail Sisters

We are the women of Northwest Trail Alliance, committed to creating an inclusive community.
Women are significantly underrepresented across most cycling communities, and NWTA is no exception. Of the 81% of NWTA’s 5,000+ members who reported their gender, 20.2% identified as female and 1.2% as “other.” In NWTA’s 2026 member survey, just 12% of respondents identified as women. This disparity highlights the continued need to make mountain biking and outdoor recreation more inclusive and welcoming.
Trail Sisters works to engage women in all aspects of the mountain biking and off-road cycling community: we host women-specific dig days, clinics and social rides. All are welcome: Cis, trans, nonbinary; all skills and abilities.
