Dig Day — Stub – 10/29

Finishing cutting in a re-route of Upper Shoofly peninsula.

Come join us for a fun-filled day of digging and exploring at Stub Stewart State Park! This in-person event is perfect for nature enthusiasts, families, and anyone who loves the smell of freshly dug dirt. 

Whether you’re a seasoned digger or a first-timer, our experienced leads will be there to assist you throughout the day. 

10am – 2pm 

Meet at the far end of the Hill Top Parking lot. If you don’t have a day pass, you will need to purchase one for $5 at the kiosk near the restrooms.

Trail work will last approximately 4 hours, wrapping up at 2:00.

What To Bring:

Work clothes: Light long sleeve shirt, Long Pants (no shorts), Boots, Gloves, Eye Protection & Gloves

Jacket (be prepared)

Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory)

Water

Snacks

Lunch

Favorite trail tool, McLeod or Rouge Hoe (We have tools, but please feel free to bring your own if you are more comfortable with your own).

Safety meeting promptly starts at 10 am. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure that you are adequately checked in. We work in all weather, so come prepared for the elements, whatever they may be (and change of clothes in the car for when we finish).
