Powell Butte Spring Work Party – 4/25

Ride season is quickly approaching! Join us for a day of trail work at Powell Butte, getting the trails dialed for a summer of riding.
Join NWTA & Portland Parks as we head to Powell Butte to touch up on some trail maintenance to get everything ready for the summer.
Where to Meet
Ellis Street Trailhead: 5608 SE 145th Avenue, Portland, OR 97236
Scope of Work
Join Portland Parks & Recreation staff and community volunteers in completing important trail work projects on Powell Butte.
No experience necessary! Youth participants must be at least age 14, and all volunteers aged 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign our youth waiver forms.
Wear sturdy close-toed shoes, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts. Bring rain gear and/or sun gear, a hat, a filled water bottle, and snacks. Bring gloves if you have a pair and prefer to use your own. Instruction, tools, and gloves are otherwise provided.
You will be walking up to 5 miles away from the meeting location and restrooms, so please be ready to hike. Be sure to arrive 5-10 minutes early, to be sure you don’t miss the group.
What to Bring
Work clothes: Long sleeve shirt, Long Pants (no shorts), Boots, Gloves, Eye Protection & Gloves
Jacket (be prepared)
Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory)
Water
Snacks
Lunch
Tools will be provided.
