Powell Butte Work Party – 11/18

Join us and our friends at Portland Parks & Recreation as we work on improving the Doug Fir trail.
Join NWTA & Portland Parks as we head to Powell Butte to get the trails repaired for the winter season.
Where to Meet
Powell Butte Visitors Center – 16160 SE Powell Blvd.
Scope of Work
We will be working on the Doug Fir trail.
No experience necessary! Youth participants must be at least age 14, and all volunteers aged 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign our youth waiver forms.
Wear sturdy, close-toed shoes, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts. Bring rain gear and/or sun gear, a hat, a filled water bottle, and snacks. Bring gloves if you have a pair and prefer to use your own. Instruction, tools, and gloves are otherwise provided.
You will walk up to 5 miles from the meeting location and restrooms, so please be ready to hike. Be sure to arrive 5-10 minutes early, to be sure you don’t miss the group.
What to Bring
Work clothes: Long sleeve shirt, Long Pants (no shorts), Boots, Gloves, Eye Protection, and gloves
Jacket (be prepared)
Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory)
Water
Snacks
Lunch
Tools will be provided.
