Hear from 2026 Portland City Council Candidates
Before you vote this year, find out what Portland City Council candidates think about improving Portland’s local trails and bike access. Only 2.5% of Portland’s singletrack trails are open to Portland cyclists* – a dismal number for a city that prides itself on its cycling identity, access to the outdoors, and ambitious climate goals. Portland’s 12-person City Council is an important voice in improving access to trails, thus promoting healthy and sustainable outdoor activity that can advance community and economic growth.
Portland City Council Districts 3 and 4 are up for election during the 2026 cycle. Portlanders will elect three (3) candidates to each district via ranked choice votes. NWTA sent all City Council candidates that are certified for the November 2026 ballot** four questions about our mission and vision for Portland. Look up your city council district HERE.
