On Saturday October 12, a group of new & veteran Northwest Trail Alliance volunteers gathered to celebrate our accomplishments in 2019 & formulate a plan of what we want to do in 2020. Many topics were discussed including our new education initiative. Our Trail Sustainability Institute launched in August at SHIFT. Education Director Nancy Stone shared what the program is & the classes that will be offered soon.
Prior to lunch our Local Trail Stewards got to work setting the schedule for the up & coming Fall/Winter trail work season as well as deciding the dates for our Signature Events in 2020. A list of these events can be found HERE.
After a delicious BBQ lunch, folks formed groups of the project that they are most interested in being involved with. Once finished a representative from each group presented their plan to the entire audience.
Once the tentative plans were in place for 2020, our focus turned to recognizing volunteers who have worked so hard to get our organization where it is today.
