CLIMB Dig Day Recap: New Features and Flow on Ouroboros Loop and Buteo Drop

NWTA Volunteers Continue Trail Building at CLIMB

Another productive dig day is in the books at CLIMB, with volunteers showing up on December 20 to continue improving one of the region’s most loved trail systems. With cooperative weather and a motivated crew, the team made meaningful progress on both Ouroboros Loop and Buteo Drop.

Trail Improvements Completed on Ouroboros Loop and Buteo Drop

The focus of the day was trail refinement and feature upgrades. Volunteers fully redesigned two bermed corners, improving flow and durability through high-use sections of trail. Crews also added new optional jump features and completed several additional trail enhancements designed to elevate the overall riding experience while maintaining progressive options for riders.

Dry Conditions Help Crews Maximize Productivity

Dry weather allowed volunteers to work efficiently throughout the day. By the time tools were put away, the improvements were already visible and riding smoother. These upgrades will help the trails better withstand continued use as CLIMB continues to grow.

Community and Celebration After a Successful Dig Day

After the work wrapped up, volunteers gathered at Gorges Beer Co. to celebrate a productive day of trail building. Cold drinks, good food, and plenty of trail talk made for a well-earned post-dig hangout.

Why Volunteer Trail Building Matters at CLIMB

Thanks to the continued support of local partners, volunteers also enjoyed a bonus swag raffle as a small thank-you for their efforts. Projects like this are possible because a committed community continues to show up and invest time and care into building a high-quality trail system.
