DIG DAY — Rocky Point: Switchblade REVIVAL Sponsored by Metropolis! – 10/24

Join NWTA and Metropolis Cycles for the first dig on the new Switchblade!
This is the first dig day of the season! Come out and help us kick off the rebuild of Swtichblade by clearing debris from the flag line. We need a big group to make this happen! No trail building skills needed, just the desire to be part of reviving this legendary trail post-harvesting!
Safety meeting starts at 9 a.m. at the gazebo in the main parking lot.
Note: Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to ensure that you are ready to roll. We work in most weather, so come prepared for the elements.
What to bring:
- Work clothes: Long sleeve shirt, pants, boots, eye protection, jacket, and (very important for this particular dig) gloves
- Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory)
- Water
- Snacks
- Optional: Your bike, favorite trail tool; McLeods, pitchforks, hard rakes .We have tools, but please feel free to bring your own. Note we will not be doing any dirt work.
Other important things:
- We will be doing a combo of carpooling and riding to to the top of the trail. Bring your bike if you’re willing to do a little climb.
- Metropolis will be feeding everyone after the dig. Plan to hang out, eat, and socialize until 1:30 or 2. Otherwise, please let us know on the day of the event if you need to leave early as we’ll be behind a locked gate.
