
Take your kids to (trail)work – Rocky Point – 4/20

Join other parents and kiddos at Rocky Point to get kids excited about trail building and spending time in the woods.
Trail: Bear Hunt (Green skills line)
Time: 10 AM meeting; 10:30 – 12:30 working; 1:00 PM post-work lunch
Meeting Location: Rocky Point mid lot near the gazebo
Summary of work goals:
- Learn about trail building
- Play in the dirt
- Ride bikes in the woods
- Maybe get some trail work done
- Easter Egg Hunt too!
Tools needed (most will be provided; however, people are welcome to bring tools they would like to use): Kids shovels and rakes if they have a favorite
Gear Suggestions:
- Helmet (Mandatory)
- Sturdy gloves
- Sturdy boots or other protective footwear
- Long-sleeve shirt
- Long pants
- Rain gear, depending upon the weather
- Change of clothes
- Bikes if you want to ride
Will food be provided?
Yes, some alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages + lunch and lots of snacks
Will we be riding after?
We will be doing some riding on the trail if the kids want to, and probably some parent group riding as well
Notes:
- This event is focused around getting kids excited about trail building and spending time in the woods, although it would be fun to get some more work done on the trail the main focus will be education and having fun
- Builders without kids are welcome to join, we’d love more help building berms and small features for progression
- Kids (and infants) of all ages are welcome
