    Join us for the first installment of the NW Trail Sister's Trail Building Training Series at Stub Stewart! Join us at Stub Stewart for the first installment of the NW Trail Sisters Training Series where we will be learning all about locating new lines and flagging! What are we doing?: The day will involve dirt-lip forming and berm building, including some rake-and-ride style trail forming.   • DIG DAY — Rocky Point, Steepfake Refresh – 11/8

    Come join us for a day of maintenance on Steepfake! We will meet at the main lot and carpool to the base of the trail, then walk up from there (under half-mile). This is a trail maintenance and repair day! The basic plan is to dial in any trouble spots after the first season of riding on the trail (we built this trail last winter and it opened in the spring).   • Archaeology Training w/ NWTA + Oregon Parks & Recreation – 11/14

    Join NWTA and Oregon Parks & Recreation Dept (OPRD) resident Archaeologist, Nancy Nelson, for an afternoon of archaeology training. NWTA is proud to partner with Oregon Parks & Recreation Dept (OPRD) Valley Region Archaeologist, Nancy Nelson, will provide a presentation on the archaeological sites, artifacts and features that may be discovered during project work. In addition, OPRD’s work with the nine Tribes in Oregon and inadvertent discovery protocols will be discussed.   • Trail School: Fundamentals at Chehalem Ridge – 11/16

    Join us for NWTA's first stewardship event at Chehalem Ridge! Trail School teaches the fundamental skills needed to maintain our trails. Participants will be learning safety techniques and tool identification/uses, as well as hands-on training of corridor clearing, drainage, tread repair and benchwork. Northwest Trail Alliance's Trail Sustainability Institute's goal is to foster a culture of land stewardship within the mountain bike community.
