NWTA kicked off celebrating Earth Month with Friends of Gateway Green (FoGG) on Saturday, April 8th, with a trash pick-up event at Gateway Green. Volunteers split into groups focused on picking up trash at the park and the I-205 Multi-use Path that provides access to the park. NWTA members of all ages joined us to keep Gateway Green looking like the gem that it is. The rain held off and everyone was in good spirits to spend some time outdoors.
Many thanks to FoGG for organizing the event. They will have monthly trash pick-ups starting on the 1st Saturday in May. We will share the details once sign-ups are live.
Thank you to the event sponsors Greenworks, PBS Engineering & our partner, Portland Parks & Recreation.
Our next Earth Month event is on Earth Day, Saturday, 4/22! Event details and signup can be found HERE
