On November 15, a crew of 17 volunteers gathered at Rocky Point to give Levitation some much-needed attention. This trail has a personality all its own, and the team focused on improving one of its trickier features: a loose, off-camber berm marked by an exposed root and tired logs that had long outlived their usefulness.

Volunteers packed the berm, rebuilt its shape, and pulled out the rotten logs that were spanning a small drainage channel. The work immediately improved flow, stability, and long-term drainage through the zone, making it safer and more fun for riders heading into one of Levitation’s signature sections.
One of the best moments came at the end of the day: everyone taking photos together, then riding the freshly tuned section they had just rebuilt.

We were also joined by Brad from Metropolis, who brought out a tent, helped dig, and shared photos from the day on the shop’s social media channels. Kelly, one of Brad’s employees, has also been a key contributor in tuning this trail over multiple work sessions. Their support goes a long way in building momentum and keeping Levitation running at its best.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, put in the work, and helped keep Rocky Point rolling.
Join us for more volunteer opportunities this weekend.
