Sawyer Work Clearing Downed Trees at Sandy Ridge

Written by Colin Marthaller, Stewardship Director & Quartermaster ([email protected])

This past Sunday (1/16), a couple of our USFS certified sawyers, SRT trail stewards, and swampers cleared downed trees at Sandy Ridge. In total, a dozen trees were cleared from Upper Hide & Seek and Johnny Royale. These trails are now clear.

If you happen to come across downed trees on the trails, please note the location on the trail and take a picture with your bike alongside for scale. You can report it to the appropriate Local Stewardship Team via their email found at: nw-trail.org/trail-teams.

If you would like to contact the sawyer team, you can reach them at [email protected].
