NWTA has been hard at work in the Tillamook! Thanks to Local Steward Team member Nathan Frechen, a group of 23 volunteers accomplished a TON at the Saturday, March 23 work party. The team did treadwork and pruned back overhanging growth on over miles on the Wilson River Trail west of the King Mountain trailhead. Their work included taking care of a gnarly root wad situation blockin the trail about 1 mile from the trailhead!
Saturday’s work party marked an end to the winter trail work season in the Tillamook that started in November. Overall, 56 individual volunteers contributed nearly 900 hours of time to maintaining 12 miles of trail. A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to help keep the trail in the Tillamook ready to ride!
Thank you, Nathan, for being the amazing lead for all of the work in the Tillamook. Thank you as well to the Oregon Department of Forest for their support and partnership.
More to come this spring!
