Ten volunteers gathered on the southwest side of the Henry Hagg Loop Trail for a dig day focused on an important re-route project. Together, the team cleared a quarter-mile section of new trail, working to improve drainage, enhance the overall ride experience, and help reopen a portion of the loop that is currently closed due to a downed bridge.
One of the memorable highlights came when Addison “the Axeman” Wardwell broke a Pulaski during the dig. It was a clear sign the crew was giving it their all.
This re-route is a key step toward keeping the Hagg Lake trail system accessible, sustainable, and ready for riders throughout the year. Getting back to work with familiar faces made the day feel like a reunion with purpose.
Thank you to everyone who came out and put tools to dirt.
