COVID-19 Statement

A message from Bob Lessard. President Northwest Trail Alliance

NWTA will be cancelling all activities for the remainder of the month of March due to COVID-19 concerns. Our event calendar will be adjusted regularly to be in line with the most up to date recommended practices.

We ask our members to follow CDC safety guidelines as well as regional and municipal restrictions on movement and social distancing. Bike shops are doing their best to keep you safe, while still remaining open for business. Give them a call or check their websites to see how they are adjusting operations.

We caution people to maintain recommended physical distancing if they choose to go out on the trails (provided no restrictions are in place). Please give other riders and hikers at least 6 feet of distance, don’t (it’s painful to say this) carpool to the trailhead with people outside of your household, and obviously shuttling is not recommended. Also, keep in mind that we should act in ways so as not to place unnecessary demands on health services. This is not the time to push your skill limits or to set downhill speed records. Stay safe, stay distant, and please stay healthy.
