NWTA’s annual CLIMB Campout once again brought together an incredible mix of trail work, riding, camping, and community for a weekend that perfectly captured what NWTA is all about.

With perfect weather, more than 50 attendees, and a campground full of mountain bikers willing to make questionable decisions under headlamps, this year’s campout delivered a fitting send-off to another winter season of trail stewardship.
Over the course of the weekend, volunteers tackled several meaningful trail improvement projects across the CLIMB trail system. One of the biggest wins came on Trail 400, where crews rebuilt the Gray’s Creek crossing. What had previously become a frustrating hike-a-bike section is now running smoother and riding the way it was intended.

Work also continued on Diluvian Tie, where volunteers reshaped and improved berms to add more flow and consistency to the trail experience. Meanwhile, EasyCLIMB received a much-needed trim and corridor refresh, helping improve sightlines and overall ride quality heading into the busy riding season.

The weekend blended long trail days with group rides, campfire conversations, shared meals, and plenty of laughter. Riders rolled out for both day and night rides, with glowing headlamps weaving through the forest long after most reasonable people would have called it a night.
Back at camp, volunteers gathered around the BBQ and campfire, swapping stories and celebrating another successful season of building and maintaining trails together.
A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered, camped, rode, cooked, supported, and helped make this year’s CLIMB Campout another unforgettable weekend.
