Help us finalize the Pine Creek Extension Project that runs along the southside of Mt St Helens.
Help us finalize the Pine Creek Extension Project. This trail winds along a historic lahar, at the base of Mt St Helens with views of Mt Adams.
MEETING LOCATION: 46.163349, -122.092253 Load into your GPS before you lose service.
You will see NWTA signs on the side of the road, look for cars parked on the side of the road. If you reach the Ape Canyon/Lava Canyon Trailheads, you have gone too far.
What To Bring:
Your bike (optional)
Work clothes: Light long sleeve shirt, long pants (no shorts), boots, gloves, eye protection
Jacket (be prepared)
Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory)
Water
Snacks
Lunch
Favorite trail tool: Folding Handsaw, McLeod or metal rake (We have tools, but please feel free to bring your own)
Safety meeting promptly starts at 9:30 a.m. Please arrive 15-20 mins early to ensure that you are adequately checked in. We work in all weather (except for high wind and snow), so come prepared for the elements (and change of clothes in the car for when we finish).
