Steepfake opened earlier this year as a new black trail in the Deep South zone at Rocky Point. With fall in full swing and the dirt in prime condition, volunteers spent the morning giving it the tune-up it needed to carry riders through the winter season.

A crew of dedicated volunteers got to work quickly, tackling several important maintenance tasks. Downed trees were cleared, berms were rebuilt and reinforced, bench sections were supported, brake bumps were repaired, and leaves were removed along key sections of trail.
The day came with a few extra highlights. Volunteers were treated to homemade chili and cornbread, a well-earned reward after a productive few hours of digging. Several NWTA board members joined the crew, adding to the sense of community and showing their commitment to the ongoing care of Rocky Point.

It was a stellar fall day with perfect dirt and a lot of progress made in a short amount of time. These volunteer-powered work parties are what keep Rocky Point running strong. If you have not joined one yet, we would love to have you out for a future dig day.
Keep the good times rolling.
