Another Portland Parks & Recreation community survey! Please take 5 minutes of your time to let the City of Portland know how important close-to-home off-road cycling/mountain biking opportunities are.
The city is soliciting community feedback on enhanced active recreation opportunities at University Park in North Portland. The guidance in the Off-Road Cycling Master Plan (ORCMP) for the University Park site has been deemed appropriate for a 5,000 – 10,000 sq. ft. bike park and family-friendly soft surface cycling trail around the perimeter of the park. This opportunity will provide much-needed off-road cycling opportunities in North Portland.
Please take a moment and complete this survey – OPEN UNTIL JULY 7.
Please use the “OTHER” box at the bottom of the University Park section to write in, “5,000-10,000 sq ft bike park and family-friendly soft surface cycling perimeter trail as described on pages 89 and 90 of the City of Portland’s ORCMP.”
**If you live in the University Park neighborhood please feel free to also include a note about wanting to be on the citizen advisory committee for the park.**
As a result of the NWTA community actively engaging in the Rose City Golf Course survey, bikes are now an active part of the planning process – but we still need to emphasize the community desire for bike trails. THANK YOU to everyone that took the survey.
