10 volunteers from 3 different user groups gathered on Saturday (6/8)morning ready to clear overgrown brush on the Wilson River Trail in the Tillamook State Forest. Starting from the King’s Mountain trailhead the crew worked their way clearing salmonberry & ferns that have long been encroaching on to the trail.

The group widened the corridor in a very overgrown section about 1 mile from the trailhead. After removing salmon berry they restored the area by transplanting a number of ferns to insure the single track trail experience.

The primary focus of this work party was to clear the overgrowth in that one location but we managed to get a bit of brushing done along to & from the site.
