Portland Parks asked NWTA for some volunteers to help with trail work at Powell Butte. On Saturday, January 7, at 9 AM, one person from Portland Parks and five people from NWTA gathered on a cool, misty morning. We built a small fence to divert trail traffic. Another group worked together to create a raised gravel bed on a trail section that was typically a pool of water. There is more work to be done at Powell Butte, hoping to have another trail work day in February.
