On Saturday, April 16th, a group of dedicated volunteers did not let the unfavorable weather forecast deter them from joining our Sandy Ridge Local Stewardship Team to help care for the beloved trails. Since the area had seen significant snow earlier in the week, they decided to stay on the lower trails that see the most traffic. One of the teams went to work on Laura’s Line, and the remaining groups started work from the bottom of Lower Hide & Seek. Everyone was rewarded with a sunny day with mild temperatures.
We gathered back at the container & were greeted with a hosted BBQ, and for those who were age-appropriate, there was beer generously provided by Hopworks.
Now that the snow is starting to melt, our crew is assessing the damage the storms have caused. Join us for our next work party on Saturday, May 7th. Registration can be found HERE.
