Trail Sister’s Gear Swap Recap

Written by Nancy Stone, Education & Sustainability Director ([email protected])

The NW Trail Sisters hosted a free Gear Swap on Thursday (3/31) evening at Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB). This proved a successful endeavor of getting no longer used gear out of the back of closets and into the hands of Trail Sisters, who could put it to good use.

This was the first indoor Trail Sisters event since 2019 and the hint of normalcy and unmasked smiles added to the positive vibe felt all evening. Morgan from Seam of Life joined us with her one of a kind merino wool and hemp activewear line. MTB coach Elaine Bothe joined in the fun as well.  Adding to the stoke were raffle items donated by Michael at Blackstone Stitchworks and Chris at Broken and Coastal.

In addition to all of the socializing and free gear flying off the tables, the Trail Sisters voted on their new logo. With three options to choose from, we are excited to share the results of the vote!

A special thank you to NWTA Platinum Sponsor Hopworks Urban Brewery for being such accommodating and gracious hosts. This is just one of many rad Trail Sisters events planned for this upcoming season. Stay tuned for more!
