Over the past year NWTA has gone through a huge effort to develop a new website. We set out to build something that would do a better job providing the information our members need (upcoming events, news, how to get involved), offer information to folks unfamiliar with the area about the trail regions we manage, and provide information to prospective partners in business and government about our organization and the good work we do. Our goals for the upgrade included:
- A modern, updated look with more sweet pictures to highlight the beauty of our region
- Better control over content that can be displayed. The previous framework was rigid and limiting
- Better information about trails (embedded Trailforks, history, access, suggested loops etc.)
- A complete reorganization of the pages to be more intuitive and make information easier to find
- More clear information about the numerous ways to give back and get involved with NWTA
- Integration with new membership management service
- Better visibility of our platinum level sponsors through highlighting their logos in the sidebar
Check it out at www.nw-trail.org. Look for continued improvements in the future as we seek to further integrate our membership management service through features like improved volunteer hour tracking. Please send any comments or questions to the webmaster at [email protected].
