Syncline Work Party

Hello NWTA, the Washington Trails Association is heading-up some Syncline work parties this year.  The next event is this Saturday, May 5th.  They are looking to finish the re-route just below the brown house at the top of the double-track (dubbed Watrus).  If you are unfamailiar, this is a terrible muddy mess in the spring.  So register below and come help work on a trail that needs some love!

L.L. Stub Stewart State Park; Freeride Area Trail Build Day

T'S CRUNCH TIME!!!

Come join us for a great day of building Freeride Trails out in Stub Stewart State Park! Your involvement (as volunteers) is the key to opening up this area by June 2nd.

Late-Season tasks may include the following;
-Building features
-Dirt work, shaping berms and jumps
-Continue Milling lumber
-Begin assembling wooden features (Drops, Ladders, cow-catchers, etc.)

Let's meet at the Welcome Center at 8:45 and head towards the Freeride area at 9:05. Please Dress appropriately for the conditions and don't forget to bring enough water/food for the day. The park has plenty of tools but feel free to bring your favorite. Feel free to bring your bike and gear for quality control ;).

Help Complete the Ventura Park Bike Pump Track!

Help us put the finishing touches on the Ventura Park Bike Pump Track.

The final piece is to install the gravel entrance to the track.

Bring a shovel and your bike to ride the track so we can have some fun.

Powell Butte Trail Maintenance (Friends of Powell Butte)

Repeats every month on April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December on the second Saturday until Sun Dec 09 2012 except Sat Aug 11 2012, Sat Dec 08 2012.

Powell Butte often gets overlooked in the city of Portland-- it's got great singletrack and depending on where you live, you can ride there and then ride the trails there. 

Consider riding your bike there on a Saturday to help out the trails in the park.  The Friends of Powell Butte host a monthly trail maintenance day.
