What is the importance of this survey?
There has been a lot of growth in both the sport and our membership over the last several years. We want to collect the most up-to-date information that will help us bring to life our mission in ways the community values. Specifically, we wish to collect information that will help inform:
- Considerations for our multi-year strategic planning effort
- NWTA’s priorities as an organization
- What the community is looking for in trails at select regions NWTA stewards
This survey is for all mountain bikers in Oregon and Washington.
How the results of the survey will be used
The results from the survey will be used to help guide decisions made on NWTA priorities and the types of trails we discuss in our work with local land managers.
While we will discuss the results of this survey to our community partners, some of it may not always practical or feasible. Although we steward many of our region’s trails, only at Rocky Point, Klootchy Creek, and Growlers do we have more flexibility in the trails that are built and the timeframe for builds. This survey should be thought of as a way to collect feedback we can relay to the land managers. Results of this survey shouldn’t be thought of as a binding agreement, or hard promise of specific future actions.
